I look it another way. He got what he wanted: donate a large sum to his alma mater so that other black children could have a good education. His free choice is something to celebrate, just as your free choice to buy a latte a day.
That's what is so great about freedom!

Hi Niket
Actually I agree with you. If that's what he wanted to do, then so be it. The article did not mention any wife and children, so his stinginess mostly affected him.
On the other hand, that's his choice and not my choice. I'm leaving as little as possible!
