“The summit is the halfway point.”

That is what mountain-climbers say about Mt. Everest. It is good to keep in mind on any excursion with a small child.

My son did really well today on his first long bike ride. I asked my wife if we should turn around but my boy seemed so eager she didn’t want to stop.

He wasn’t so eager on the way back. That’s always going to be true. But he kept on going and we made it home with only a few complaints. He probably biked five miles — not bad for a six-year-old who took off his training wheels (by himself) just last month.
